NHRC is now a sanctioned American Rimfire Association (ARA) Club!   We hold sanctioned matches on the outdoor range on a monthly basis.  All shooting participants must be registered with the ARA in order to shoot in a match.  This is a great way to do some inexpensive shooting, teach your kids/grandkids about shooting and have a great time!

We are one of two clubs in the state of PA to offer ARA-sanctioned matches.  Read on to find out more about the Association, matches, and how to participate or support the events.  Here's a little more background:

ARA competitions are separated into two classes based mainly on the cost of the rifle.  Factory class: any current production rifle with a Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price, (MSRP), under $1,000.00; Unlimited Class: rifles with an MSRP over $1,000.00.

What does it take to shoot in these matches?  Basically, have a 22 LR rifle and two hundred rounds of ammo, be over 7 years old and pay a match fee of $20.00.  You can enter, your spouse, kids and grandkids.  Of course, you also have to have a desire to have a good time and meet new people.
