1st Place Factory - Ed Sklaney
American Rimfire Association
2026 is the 5th year NHRC is hosting American Rimfire Association events. We hold sanctioned matches
on the outdoor range on a monthly basis. All shooting participants must be registered with the ARA
in order to shoot in a match. This is a great way to do some inexpensive shooting, teach your
kids/grandkids about shooting and have a great time! The ARA web site for registration is
https://www.americanrimfire.com/index.php/auth/create .
We are one of five clubs in the state of PA to offer ARA-sanctioned matches. Read on to find out more
about the Association, matches, and how to participate or support the events. Here's a little more
background:
ARA competitions are separated into two classes based mainly on the cost of the
rifle. Factory class: any current production rifle with a Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price,
(MSRP), under $1,450.00; Unlimited Class: rifles with an MSRP over $1,450.00.
There are exceptions, review the Factory Class Approved Rifle List for the list of approved Rifles
not in production as well as any exceptions to the rule.
What does it take to shoot in these matches? Basically, have a 22 LR rifle and two hundred rounds of
ammo, be over 7 years old and pay a match fee of $25.00. You can enter, your spouse, kids and
grandkids. Of course, you also have to have a desire to have a good time and meet new people.
Questions? Please contact Match Directors Joe Senick, ((jsenick1@gmail.com, (570) 239- 0072)) or
Alex Vezendy, ((alex.vezendy@papaper.com, (570) 881-4092)) for more information. In order to pre
register for any match in PA, go to https://pa-ara.club.
We hope many of you will take this opportunity to enjoy our sport in a whole new way and possibly
engage a younger generation of shooters at the same time!
